Scheme Information
The Essential Electrics course is designed to train and assess competence to undertake electrical work in a safe manner. The course covers basic electrical safety and is a pre-requisite to the Heating Control Fault Finding course.
Pre-Requisites
This course is designed for experienced operatives working within the building engineering services sector of industry, evidence demonstrating at least 12 months experience will be required as part of the application process.
Assessment Information
Training will include an assessment of competency; assessment consists of a combination of practical and theory examinations.
Expiry Information
Certificates are valid for 5 years. Candidates are eligible to undertake re-assessment up to 6 months prior to the expiry date of the initial certificate. Previous certificates must be presented to the assessment centre as evidence.
