Scheme Information
The course is designed to follow HSC – The Control of Legionella bacteria in water systems L8 document and will provide candidates with the knowledge of correct methods of design, control and maintenance of water and air conditioning systems. It addresses the conditions in which legionella infection may take place and how this may be controlled in order to minimise the risk.
Pre-Requisites
This course is designed for maintenance personnel involved in the installation and/or maintenance of equipment susceptible to contamination by the bacteria legionella
Assessment Information
One day course including multiple choice theory assessment
Expiry Information
Certificates are valid for 5 years. Candidates are eligible to undertake re-assessment up to 6 months prior to the expiry date of the initial certificate. Previous certificates must be presented to the assessment centre as evidence.
